Stanley has asked his father to help him out produce a video for his college work. I came up with a simple plot, got Nigel to assist and shot some rushes and handed over my edit suite to the young lad and here is the result!

I take a 9 mile hike across the South Downs in not the greatest of weather and discover another Motte and Bailey on Edburton Hill in East Sussex.

The Vobes has succumbed to buying the uniform of walkers by purchasing a Peter Storm hikers jacket to prevent the rain and wind getting to his poor shivering bones. Hopefully this will keep him protected when he heads off to the Cheddar Gorge.

Richard visited the Foredown Tower in Portslade to meet Mike Feist who is in charge of the Camera Obscura there. Mike showed Richard around the tower giving some of its history and demonstrating the fabulous ancient method of observing the countryside around the tower with the camera obscura.

Jimmy and Richard wanted to try making some Scottish Toffee and set to work in the kitchen with a hot pan and a load of sweet flavoured ingredients.
Amazingly the toffee actually worked and set hard! I think we were both surprised that we had made another success in the cooking department.
Jimmy said he was going to tackle fudge next!

Jimmy has been challenged to have a go at making Cheese, but why should he have all the fun. Today, I grabbed some odd bits and pieces and made myself a necessary tool for cheese making, a cheese press! I saved my self £50 in the process!!!.

Paul Stoneman invited me round to his place and gave me a wonderful steak and kidney pie from the local pie shop. We took a trip to the farm shop close by to examine the local produce as recommended by Big Barn.co.uk.
I have to say that home made pies are so much better than commercial supermarkets efforts and from the pie shop round the corner from Paul's place in Bognor was actually quite cheap!

I am back from Moorfields Eye Hospital with a bunch more pills after a long session of having more chunks of my eye ball hacked out to see if this horrible parrasite is still alive and kicking! I have been told I may be blind in my left eye for life now!

Peter Richardson and myself attended a Chilli Feista at the West Dean Collge grounds yesterday in Sussex to make some recordings for the show. Next week shall be Chilli week! All good fun!

I have a new toy. Its the Zoom H4 pocket recorder. I am fairly pleased with the results, hoping to go to a chilli festival today to record an interview or two, so will test it out in the field. Should be good.
